PAGE STAR Student/Teacher Award Lunch
On Friday, March 6, 2009 the Chamber will honor local STAR Students and STAR Teachers from the DeKalb County School System and the City Schools of Decatur at an annual luncheon at the W Atlanta Perimeter Hotel. Chuck Dowdle, WSB TV's Sports Director and host of the High Q game show will be the keynote speaker.
The PAGE STAR program honors Georgia's highest achieving high school seniors and the teachers who have been most instrumental in their academic development. To obtain the STAR nomination, high school seniors must have the highest score on the 3-part SAT, taken through the December test date of their senior year, and be in the top 10% or top 10 students of their class, based on GPA.
